Ingolomosio Prayer Mountain
The prayer mountain is located in Kambiri, Ingolomosio market in Shinyalu sub-county. It provides accommodation for both male female and the pastor. During the night prayers hot water is provided. The mountain is re-known for prayer and fasting rituals for Christians.

The various Hindu temples in the county are Swami Narayana Temple, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir and Shree Sanatan Hindu Dharma Mandal Kakamega.
Shree Sanatan Hindu Dharma Mandal Kakamega Built in 1957 Shree Sanatan Hindu Dharma Mandal temple in Kakamega town is a great representation of the elegance and that accompanies the architectural designs of Hindu temples and the rich culture of the Indian people in the county of Kakamega. The temple located off opposite Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hall is a pleasure of spiritual harmony for Hindu faithful in the town. The temple’s foundation stone was laid in pre- independence in 10th August 1957 by Bai Matubai in memory of her late beloved husband Shree Haridas Vallabhdas.

The county with most of its residents being Christians is awash with a huge number of different Christian denominations such as the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK), Catholic Church, Friends Quakers, Salvation Army, Church of God (CoG), Seventh Day Adventist (SDA), African Divine Church (ADC), Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG), Kenya Assemblies of God (KAG), African Israel Nineveh, Kings Outreach, PEFA church among others.
